Living History Military History Day & Public Battle Event
Thunder over Minnesota III
'Salute to D-Day' - ETO Public Battle

Date: June 11-12th, 2010
Location: Le Center, Minnesota - Address: 37699 Hunting Preserve Lane Le Center, MN 56057 Le Seuer County. Property owner: Jeff Traxler (507) 357-6940. BATF Address is same.
Event Times: See tentative timeline below . Period military camping sites available. Non-period camping sites available separately. Saturday is the event day and will have a Living History component all day for all Military Impressions and also a forty-five minute WWII ETO Public Battle event with 6 vintage US military aircraft and coordinated pyrotechnic effects . I.e. Including aircraft sorties of strafing runs and bomb drops, etc. Likely B-25 bomber fly over is also being considered. A Vietnam public battle is also scheduled.
Registration Times: Check in for verification of Pre-Registration for the event;
Friday 1600 Hrs - 2200 Hrs. Saturday 0600 hrs to 0800 Hrs.

Pre-registration: AVAILABLE and REQUIRED -Traxler Hunting Preserve Liability Release form will required to be completed and signed ahead of time. This is required for acquisition and allocation of blank ammunition and also, for participant meal planning and chit issues.
Fee: NO FEE - Free blank ammunition issue is provided event for participants, on a ' First Registered - First served' basis . Four meals are also provided for all Reenactors - Saturday; Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Sunday; Breakfast. Also provided are refreshments and Reenactor party Saturday evening on-site in the Living History camp areas.

Authenticity Notes: WWII HRS Rules apply. Public Battle Event WWII ETO - Normandy D-Day Plus, France 1944. Military Living History Camps - Open to all Military Impression's, including Civil War and Vietnam.
Prohibited Vehicles/Items: None - Battle event coordinators have a contracted with the Pyrotechnic technicians that did effect for 'Flags of Our Father' and 'Letters from Iwo Jima', for a significant public battle display of WWII and Vietnam public battle display segments.
Pyrotechnics are open, pending area weather and dryness conditions. All period authentic vehicles, including tracked vehicles are welcome on the property.
Other restrictions: NO NON-PERIOD camping in the Living History encampment areas at Any Time !
All Non-Period camp set ups and associated equipment will be in an area within a few hundred yards of the Living History encampment areas.

Wade House Fall Tactical – Greenbush, WI

This annual event is a day-long full immersion objective-based tactical in a great setting that is well suited to small unit actions.

All: We will come to grips with our foes in the fields of the Old Wade House State Park once again this fall. Setting is Fall, 1944. Will the Axis Forces continue to outnumber the Allies as in years past, or will we get enough red-blooded GI's in the field to provide a serious challenge to the Hun? Will the Axis sustain its numerical advantage and push the Allies back into the channel for a second Dunkirk? Sign up and find out. Registration is open at http://401gir.com/. Add your unit to the list of Wade House Veterans.

Allied Units represented can include all U.S., British, and Canadian and other Allied forces present in the ETO following D-Day. Axis units represented can include all German Heer and SS Units present in the ETO following D-Day. Civilians / French resistance: Strongly encouraged. The general setting is ETO, Fall 1944. Uniforms of all participating units should be consistent with that time and place.

Additional information: There are restrooms in the park as well as water there will be space provided for period correct camping as well as modern camping. This is a Public Display event open to all time periods. As usual there are two veteran event on the same so we are short on Axis troops but all are welcome to attend. There will be pyro during the Battle so all participants in the battle will need to be at the briefing and walk through at 1100 hour if at all possible

Directions: To get to the park from highway 270 in North St. Louis County take exit 32, Bellefontaine rd., and go North 4.2 miles to the end of the road. Bellefontaine Road will dead end at the park. This is in North St. Louis, and is easy to find using a GPS.
Authenticity Notes: All items must be period WWII correct. That includes your uniform, hair style PLEASE make sure your hair is proper for WWII, accessories (glasses are the exception), vehicles, weapons, etc. If you have questions contact Kevin Owens ( e-mail ) and request a review of your questionable item.
